Another Little Fella at the Parker's

What a surprise to see this little fella in the pasture as we were leaving for church this morning.  For about ten seconds I thought Lulu (baby white donkey) had rolled in the mud.  Ha!  Nope.  New arrival, named "Shadow" once his gender was confirmed.

Isn't he the cutest little thing?  I thought Lulu was cute, but this guy has such grand markings.  

Here's the herd, trying to dine together....doesn't always work.  We had to split up the mommas and babies to eat out of separate trough's.  Luna (white momma) was quite selfish with the feed and hay.

And here is an updated photo of baby Lulu.  Isn't she growing fast?  Quite incredible really.  And so sweet.  She loves to come to the fence for attention.  Both momma's like attention too actually and are always happy to receive a bit of rubbing and sweet talk.  Most people think I'm a bit crazy to like donkeys, but I love my herd.   They absolutely make me smile....
