Bittersweet Soccer Day

This is the time of year that soccer is taking place every Saturday. Our little guy Caleb has learned he LOVES to play soccer. But, today, the opposing team had to forfeit as they didn't have enough players. I'm proud to say that our team handled the disappointing news rather well.

...in you they trusted and were not disappointed. Psalm 22:5

While the kids probably did not need to hear that, as I said they handled it well, this mom did. I wanted to see Caleb play. For my own pride? Maybe. Because Randy was there and would get to watch? Maybe. Because I was out of town the weekend before and missed his best game so far? Maybe.

No matter what my excuse is, we should trust in God and WE will NOT be DISAPPOINTED!

Since the game was cancelled we were able to help some dear friends with a big project at their house. So, praising God for this blessed day!

Til later,
Pam

Continued prayers for Grandpa Win

Nothing new on my grandfather's status. He is stable and has a long road of recovery ahead of him. At the last update, they still did not know what caused his current condition to take place. We continue to pray for this gentle, sweet man.

Father God, please keep Grandpa in your hands. Keep him safe and allow him to heal and be himself again very soon. We all love him so Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Blessings,
Pam

Prayers for Grandpa Win

No one likes to get the late at night phone call, but last night we received one. My grandfather in Wausau, Wisconsin is in the ICU at the hospital. He has bleeding on the brain and swelling. They are unsure what is wrong at this point, but they did get him stablized last night.

I live so far from my grandfather that I'm not as close to him as I'd like to be. Our lives only cross paths once every few years. He's a good, christian man that I have always adored. I pray that God will keep Him safely in His hands. We all want healing for Grandpa, but if that is not to be, then God will get us all through it. If He brings us to it, He will get us through it!

Father God, please be with Grandpa Win on this day and the days ahead. We pray that if healing is in Your plans that it will happen soon. You know how much we all love him, Lord, and would ask that you extend Your great healing powers on his behalf. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Til later,
Pam

The start of my week with Doodles!

To say that I missed Ran-doodle would be an understatment. To say I'm excited he's here for the week would be even more of an understatement. His busy school schedule has kept him from being able to visit and it's been about a month since he's come to stay with us. Intercession is this week and he is spending it with us in Papalote. We'll have a busy week, but it will hopefully be a good one!

He adores my cookies. How funny. In the months I've been making them he's not had one. His response? "Mom, did you go to heaven and bring back a little piece of a cloud when you made these?" Mom's like to hear they've done a good job!! He loved them and probably ate too many!

Off to start the week...
Blessings,
Pam

WOF is always a blessing

Our group of ladies just returned from our Women of Faith Trip for 2010. What a blessing that trip always is, but this year seemed more special than others for some reason. I can't exactly put my finger on the reason, but to say that God was present would be a good start. He is the great creator and to see so many women worshipping Him in one place - wow - what an amazing feeling!! This mom can't wait until next year to go again!

Being gone means missing the family. Text messages sure make it easy to keep in touch with those you love at home. My favorite two texts while I was gone? 1) Caleb asking Johnny to tell me that I make the best cookies ever and 2) Hearing our little soccer players played their best game ever and Caleb scored 3 goals. I didn't like that he stole one of them from Ella, but I'm proud of him for getting in there an trying! {Chest puffed out with pride.}

Love and blessings,
Pam

Praising God for who He is

My sweet husband received this today and shared it with me. I felt it really needed to be shared with you all as well.

***************
Sometimes life seemingly deals us insurmountable circumstances in business, in health, and in relationships. However if we truly rely on the truths of His word, we find comfort and peace in all our circumstances – no matter how bad they seem.

“Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing to desire but You. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever”. Psalms 73:25-26

****************

It really makes you stop and think.

God bless!

All in a Days Work

I always have good intentions to get a lot done and make progress. But, some days it just doesn't happen. Today, I had a heavy heart - for a couple of reasons. A personal struggle with my responsibilities regarding a project at church, and I found out that a friend was successful with a project that we'd been working on together in a way that I wasn't successful. My heart is so excited for her and delighted that she has succeeded. But for myself it brought tears.

I am strong and as 1 Chronicles 28:20 says.... "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished." Saw this on K-Love's website and it was very befitting of how I felt today.

Caleb was an absolute blessing today. "I love you mom.....You're the best mom ever." I will so miss those words as he gets older and says them less.

A miracle has taken place. Someone we have all been in prayer about has made massive improvements in their health - cancer free....God is SO good. He is the Giver of miracles...

God bless you and keep you...
In Christ,
Pam
